Ratine mall bring New brands in tampere like the recovery of the retail sector is gaining momentum
Sponda, the real estate asset management company, has announced that a large number of new leases have been signed for its Ratina shopping center in Tampere. This coincides with an increase in footfall and sales at the mall, indicating that a retail recovery is underway.
Synlab and Pikseli Arcade will open their stores in Ratina in the coming months. This follows other stores and entertainment venues recently opened in the mall, including Specsavers, Beer Shop & Bar Kuja, Normal, Kustom Furniture, More Tea, Aava, Pikkujätti, and Tampinkoski Bar & Kitchen.
The cumulative sales of the entire mall increased by 21% between January and August of this year. In July, more than 600,000 people visited the mall, an increase of more than 7% from last year. In addition, 17,000 new customers have joined its loyalty program, bringing the total number of loyal customers to over 98,000 people. The news signals increased confidence in the retail recovery as shoppers return to physical stores.
“These new agreements demonstrate that the Ratina shopping center is a strong place for traders and leisure venues and an attractive place to shop and have fun. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the range of services in our shopping centers, and customers are responding well to them. Introducing exciting new brands to our shopping centers also means that we are improving the attractiveness of our city centers and this is an important part of the recovery. said Christian Hohenthal, the President and CEO of Sponda.
“We invested in the continued modernization of the shopping center last year, which allowed us to improve signage and make the common areas more comfortable. We have also improved the offer for families with children by adding new playgrounds, including the Ratinan Niitty indoor playgrounds and the large Ratinan Riemu outdoor playgrounds. This proactive and innovative approach to improving the mall really makes a difference and visitors clearly see it as more than just a shopping destination. said Mervi Ahola, director of Ratina.
This year has also seen a number of different events take place at the mall, all while adhering to COVID-19 safety guidelines. On the occasion of her birthday, Ratina delighted her customers by releasing in her forecourt and in the surrounding pedestrian zone a thousand heart-shaped balloons that customers and visitors were able to grab and bring home. Some balloons contained hidden messages that could be exchanged for gifts at the information desk. In addition, the Ratikalla Ratinaan event in August celebrated the new tram line, coinciding with the return to school and work, which now means that the mall is now served by a tram every seven minutes or so. At the end of the year, the UROS Live arena – located next to Ratina – will be completed, making the area even more attractive.
